Dear Prayer Supporters: - In my last newsletter I shared about the joy of being back after such a long time away, I also mentioned that I would share with you what God has laid on our hearts to further the work here.
Community Church Building: - The house (photo above), next door to the church has been empty for the past five years and we cannot understand why as it is in a prime position. Much prayer has gone up and we believe that God has had His hand in this, a place where young Christian people can bring their friends, where those who made commitments at the summer camps can grow in the faith with a good range of Christian books, a place for Mum’s and toddlers, including a thought for the day, and we have the people in place to run this.
Twice a week we have up to 50 lorries waiting to cross the boarders, there is a work already going on with them but this could be extended. There are many more opportunities, but all this comes at a price. The price the owner has offered it to us is 20,000 Euro’s, around £17,500. We have Christian builders and believers who will do all the necessary work to make it useable, again free of charge. £5000 has already been promised. I really believe this is of God and an opportunity we cannot miss for the furtherance of the Lord’s work here in Serbia and beyond. I know we are all facing a financial crises at the moment but would you or and your church pray with us for this project and consider donating a one-off gift?
Camp Site: - We believe that next year we should open the camp site for disabled people both Christian and non Christian and also, a few family weekends to show the love of God. There would also be a thought for the day, for many, this would be their only chance of meeting with Christians.
Workers: - We are believing God to call five more couples into the work, already, two couples are ready to make this commitment.
Outreach: - Reaching out into the towns and villages around Backa Palanka and across the boarders into Croatia, Hungary and Slovakia. We are situated right on the border with Croatia.
A Bible for every home in Serbia: - Please Pray for more churches to become involved. The programme started in Easter of this year and is progressing well as more churches are now getting involved. The request for literature is amazing and contacts are being made, a great answer to Prayer.
